Girl’s Day Out – Yoga, Nature Walk, Wine Tasting, Catered Lunch

Girl’s Day Out – October 13th, 2018
Cost – $45 – Per person.
Join us for a special event designed for you and your girlfriends!
The day starts with a morning of getting in touch with our bodies and nature:
9:30 – 9:45 a.m. – Arrival and check in
9:45-10:00 a.m. – Activities Review (you need to hear all of this – please don’t be late – we will cover the activity instructions and safety rules during this time).
10:00 – 10:45 a.m. – Yoga with Instructor Kelly Self (see below for details)
10:45 – 11:00 a.m. – CARPOOL to Knight-Brown Nature Preserve, arrive by 11:00 a.m.
11:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.* – Nature Walk (Weather permitting – see below for details)
12:30 -12:45 p.m. – Return drive to Stonefield Cellars Winery
And then…..we will enjoy delicious food and wine!
12:45 to 1:00 p.m. – ‘Bio’ break and get seated for….
1:00 – 2:30 p.m. – Wine Tasting and Lunch (see below).
2:30 p.m. – Check out/depart

– TURKEY PANINI– turkey w/bacon, avocado, tomato, & american cheese

– VEGGIE FLATBREAD– w/ apple, cranberry, sundried tomato, spinach, provolone, & Honey Mustard
SIDE OPTIONS:Choice ofHouse or Caesar Salad (be sure to specify which)
INFO ABOUT YOUR EVENT LEADERS…..
Kelly is certified as a Holistic Nutritionist, Life Coach, 200 Hour Yoga Instructor, and Reiki MasterTeacher. Her “juice” as she calls it is teaching others to be the very best version of their “true self.” Kelly will be teaching a Yin Yoga Class. Yin Yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, yin aims at cultivating awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality. Great for those that are new to yoga or seasoned yogis! Bring a yoga matt or beach towel. Wear comfy clothes you can move in. Also see below re: nature walk clothing!
Nature Walk Guide
Natalie Wurz is a nature lover that has spent a lifetime of pursuing outdoor adventures. Through the years as a College Outdoor Club Officer, Girl Scout Leader and now Business Owner (Stonefield Cellars), she has led groups on hikes, camp-outs, and kayak/rafting trips in Georgia, Utah, and North Carolina. With either a fishing rod, paddle, hiking stick, or camera in hand, Natalie is comfortable on land and water and is always eager to share her passion for the year round beauty of our natural world with others. Note: The photo you see here was taken by the ox-bow of the creek beside the trail we will be walking at the Knight-Brown Nature Preserve!
Natalie will lead you on a nature walk through the Knight-Brown Nature Preserve located in Stokesdale, NC. Difficulty of the trail is rated as Easy to Moderate. You must be able to walk from 1 to 1-1/2 hours – we will stop and take photos and rest as necessary since some of the walk will be uphill. Important!!!! While there are bridges for crossing the creek, some trail areas may be muddy if we’ve had recent rain, and sometimes the trail may be slippery with leaves. Therefore, sturdy, closed toe shoes are a must (no sandals or flip-flops). Dress for the weather (wear layers, bring a jacket). If steady RAIN is in the forecast we will NOT go on the nature walk and will replace it with an INDOOR activity.
