SUMMARY:Soup and Sing - Potluck Dinner and Jam Session
DESCRIPTION:Reservations are Required for this Event   \nSoup & Sing is a combination pot-luck dinner\, jam session\, and folk gathering for local musicians/singers and music lovers that harkens back to a time when there were no radios or TVs and music was what we made together\, face to face\, an essential part of our soul as necessary as the food that nourished our bodies.   Many different genres of music may be represented during the evening (bluegrass\, celtic\, blues\, folk\, rock\, gospel\, etc.)\, but usually it is acoustic (we do mike vocals though\, so singers can be heard).  Even if you are not a musician as long as you’re a fan of Stonefield Cellars that loves wine and music\, you are welcome to come.   We appreciate your support of local music and local wine!  (Wine sales provide the financial support to make this event possible.) \nLarge Parties/Groups Policy:  Due to our policy to preserve the intimacy of the gathering and the need to stay within our capacity limit\, Soup & Sing is not an event for large private parties or groups (more than 8 people in a single party/group).   We do however rent our barrel room for private parties and we can provide you with contact info re: bands for hire.   We also hold barrel room concerts and outdoor music events at the winery during which we can provide concert/festival seating for large groups. \n  \n  \nIf you have questions about this event\, please contact Natalie at nwurz@stonefieldcellars.com \nPlease RSVP below…

(Wine sales provide the financial support to make this event possible.) \nCheck out a video of a fun jam session here: \nhttps://stonefieldcellars.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/SoupandSingFeb2023trimmed.mp4\nLarge Parties/Groups Policy:  Due to our policy to preserve the intimacy of the gathering and the need to stay within our capacity limit\, Soup & Sing is not an event for large private parties or groups (more than 8 people in a single party/group).   We do however rent our barrel room for private parties and we can provide you with contact info re: bands for hire.   We also hold barrel room concerts and outdoor music events at the winery during which we can provide concert/festival seating for large groups. \n \nWEAR A COSTUME AND GET 10% OFF YOUR WINE PURCHASE!!!!! \nIf you have questions about this event\, please contact Natalie at nwurz@stonefieldcellars.com \nPlease RSVP below…

SUMMARY:Barrel Room Concert - Haley Richardson & Don Penzien with Friends
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, October 4th\, 2024 –  Haley Richardson & Don Penzien with Special Guests perform an intimate Barrel Room Concert at Stonefield Cellars Winery – 7:30-9:30pm  (Door opens at 7:00pm for wine purchases and seating)\n  \nTickets are $25 (Reserved Table Seating) or $20 (General Admission Chair seating). \nIrish traditional music and dance in a listening and up-close watching room setting! \nFirst joining forces on a festival stage in 2017\, Haley and Don toured regularly together until Haley took up the mantle as core musician (fiddler) for Riverdance. Taking advantage of Haley’s brief fall hiatus from Riverdance\, the duo is once again joining forces (along with special guests\, including dancer Will Bryant and harmonica ace Steve Payne).  This will be their kick-off concert for an unforgettable series of shows across the US. \n \n Haley Richardson: With her highly ornamented and virtuosic style of playing\, Haley launched her opening salvo in the Irish music world at 6 years of age when she won the under 12 All Ireland qualifier. She has since amassed a long list of All Ireland and other championship titles (solo fiddle and slow airs) and has performed the world over. Whether performing in a solo capacity or in an ensemble\, Haley brings a rare dynamism and energy to her music\, which is informed by her thorough knowledge of the Sligo fiddle style\, her mastery of her instrument\, and the trailblazing and show-stopping technique and emotion evident in every note she plays. Currently the fiddler for the 25th Anniversary world tour of the Grammy Award winning production\, RIVERDANCE\, Haley has performed with many of the best-known Irish musicians including The Chieftains\, Altan\, Dervish\, Mick Moloney and Green Fields of America\, Pride of New York\, Liz Carroll with Cherish the Ladies\, John Whelan\, Paddy Keenan\, and The Máirtín de Cógáin Project. \nDon Penzien has long been a top-flight performer of Irish traditional music. He frequently is on the road playing concerts and festivals with Haley Richardson\, Gailfean\, Brian Conway\, Gerry O’Connor\, and The Máirtín de Cógáin Project\, and he has served as accompanist for numerous other well-known performers (e.g.\, Seán Gavin\, Randal Bays\, Máirtín de Cógáin\, John Whelan\, Tim Britton\, John Williams\, Pat Broaders\, Gabe Donohue\, Ben Jaber\, Tony DeMarco\, Billy McComiskey\, Sean Clohessy\, Bridget Fitzgerald\, Kevin Doyle). Widely recognized for his reserved backing style\, Don’s dexterous work on DADGAD-tuned guitar provides solid\, driving rhythms to traditional tunes as well as perceptive and sensitive accompaniments to songs and airs. Don is a Michigan native with strong roots in Irish culture and an affinity for Celtic music. He now resides in NC where he works as Professor at the Wake Forest School of Medicine. \n  \nSPECIAL GUESTS!!! \n \n  \nWill Bryant \nBorn in Sydney\, Australia\, Will trained with the Halloran Dance School in Irish\, ballet\, contemporary and tap from the age of four. Will performed lead roles in musical productions and made regular appearances on TV. At university he studied for a Bachelor of Music and is an accomplished guitarist. An ambitious athlete\, Will is studying personal training on and off tour. Following an impressive competitive Irish dance career\, placing top-three internationally and winning state and national titles\, he performed with Celtic Illusion and Heartbeat of Home. In 2014 he joined Riverdance and has toured worldwide. \nSteven Payne\n  \nSteve Payne has been sharing his talent on harmonica and Irish flute on stages across the USA and beyond\, adding texture and depth to the Irish traditional music scene. \n  \n  \n  \n  \nTickets may be purchased Online up till 3pm day of show (see below)\, Over the Phone at 336-644-9908\, or In Person at the winery during Business Hours. \nTickets:  Advanced Ticket purchase is highly recommended as seating in our Barrel Room is limited. \nWine and beer sold separately. Stonefield Cellars appreciates your support through your purchases of beverages!  NOTE:  no food truck tonight\, please eat before you come – some snacks will be available for purchase.
