Soup & Sing is a combination pot-luck dinner\, jam session\, and folk gathering for local musicians/singers and music lovers that harkens back to a time when there were no radios or TVs and music was what we made together\, face to face\, an essential part of our soul as necessary as the food that nourished our bodies.   Many different genres of music may be represented during the evening (bluegrass\, celtic\, blues\, folk\, rock\, gospel\, etc.)\, but usually it is acoustic (we do mike vocals though\, so singers can be heard).  Even if you are not a musician as long as you’re a fan of Stonefield Cellars that loves wine and music\, you are welcome to come.   We appreciate your support of local music and local wine!  (Wine sales provide the financial support to make this event possible.) \nLarge Parties/Groups Policy:  Due to our policy to preserve the intimacy of the gathering and the need to stay within our capacity limit\, Soup & Sing is not an event for large private parties or groups (more than 8 people in a single party/group).   We do however rent our barrel room for private parties and we can provide you with contact info re: bands for hire.   We also hold barrel room concerts and outdoor music events at the winery during which we can provide concert/festival seating for large groups. \nIf you are interested in attending\, RSVP at 644-9908 or email nwurz@stonefieldcellars.com.  You will be given more details about the evening.

We will be open for wine sales by the bottle/glass and wine tasting flights will be available until 5pm. \nOur Barrel Room will welcome you to enjoy LIVE Music by Candelfirth (harp\, guitar\, violin\, tin whistle\, etc. – see full bio below) \nCandelfirth\n\nAll bottles of wine will be 5% OFF\n$5 Hot Spiced Wine by the glass\nComplimentary Holiday Photos\nLocally made wine gifts!\nHot spiced wine recipe packs\nGift baskets and Gift certificates available\n\nWalk-ins are welcome\, but since seating in our Barrel Room is limited we recommend you reserve a table!  Call us at 336-644-9908 \nLos Gordos Bistro (Food Truck) – Featuring LOBSTER rolls\, tacos\, and quesadillas will be on site all afternoon. \n \nIn addition\, artisanal snacks\, cheese plates\, crackers\, sweets\, and non-alcoholic drinks will be available in our Tasting Room\, (we will have heated tables outside)! \n  \n  \n  \n  \nCandelFirth is a musical duo that explores traditional Celtic and Native American music through unique rhythms\, arrangements and expressions. \nRandy Candelaria (fiddle\, guitar\, recorder\, Irish bouzouki\, hurdy gurdy – and others) has been playing Celtic music for over 30 years with a number of bands including Naomi’s Fancy (having performed during a US presidential visit) and the Celthix (opening up for Scotland’s premiere band\, The Tannahill Weavers\, on two evenings).  He has recently played in pubs across Ireland in Dublin\, Galway and Doolin\, including sessions with Friar’s Green and the legendary Irish group De Danann.  Randy also has been involved in recording sessions for various artists and has film credits for his contributions\, along with radio and TV appearances (see his Facebook page for specifics!). \nSusie Firth Candelaria has enjoyed exploring music since childhood and has played a variety of Celtic harps for over 25 years.  A lover of music of all kinds\, including Classical and the music of ancient cultures\, her true love is for the music of Ireland and Scotland.  Susie also performs on a variety of flutes\, penny whistles\, baroque recorders\, Native American flutes\, djembe and bodhran.  She has been a solo artist for years\, a session musician and a guest musician on several recording projects. DESCRIPTION:Live Music: Sunday\, October 30th from 2-5pm come listen to Dell Iron Project as they perform on our patio (or Barrel Room if raining)! \nNo cover charge\, but tipping the musicians is appropriate and appreciated! \nPaula Dellenback and Charlie Milliron (with bassist Steve Farmer) play a mix of acoustic rock\, country\, and bluegrass covers and originals. \nPaula and Charlie have performed in multiple bands over the years (e.g.\, Paula Dellenback and Fox River\,  Roger Handy and Friends\, Geneva’s Convention\, Marlowe and MillIron) and formed the Dell Iron Project duet out of a bond of mutual respect and common ground founded in the southern Virginia music scene.  The recent addition of bassist Steve Farmer rounds out their current sound which will delight you with complimentary vocals and stellar instrumentation. \n

DESCRIPTION:UPDATE:  DUE TO THE IMPACT HURRICANE IAN WILL HAVE ON THE TRIAD THIS EVENING THIS CONCERT IS CANCELLED.   EVERYONE’S SAFETY IS OUR GREATEST CONCERN. We don’t want anyone driving on wet roads and in high winds.  The Food Truck should also not be traveling under these conditions.  We are very disappointed that our final Friday Flavors Concert for this season couldn’t happen.  Individual ticket holders will be contacted directly soon. \nWe can’t think of a better way to finish up the Friday Flavors concert season than to feature one of our favorite bands – Moxie!   If you love to groove to R&B\, Soul and Funk\, this band is for you.  We hope you get your tickets early and invite friends – it will be a party you’ll want to be part of! \nNote to Advance Ticket Purchase Holders: You will not receive physical tickets: Your name will be placed on a Pre-Paid Will-Call list at the Tasting Room; please have your ID available in case we need to confirm your ticket purchase. If you have any questions regarding tickets you can reach us over the phone at 336-644-9908 during regular business hours (12-6pm Thurs-Sat & 1-6pm Sun). \nCOST: $10 per person. \nEVENT TIMELINE:   Concert is from 7-9 pm. Tony was named to Guitar Player Magazine’s top 50 transcendental guitarists in the world. His skill at translating Celtic pipe and fiddle tunes to guitar is unmatched\, creating a great accompaniment for his vocals. Tony has performed at many prestigious festivals and concert venues\, including several times at the Chet Atkins festival in Nashville\, and the Ellnora Guitar Festival in one of Illinois’s most prestigious venues\, the Krannert center\, with the likes of Pat Metheny\, Kaki King\, Molly Tuttle\, and Steve Dawson.
