DESCRIPTION:What sandwich pairs best with which wine?  Come find out when JJ’s Cuban Kitchen Food Truck will be on site at Stonefield Cellars Winery all afternoon serving delicious Cuban sandwiches (Pork\, Beef\, Chicken and Veggie options).  Serving from 12-6pm.  Wine\, Beer\, non-alcoholic beverages are sold separately.  The last Wine Flight tastings for the day start at 5pm\, so come before 5pm if you want to do a tasting (otherwise you can still buy by the glass and bottle).  For questions regarding seating or groups larger than 6\, please call ahead – 336-644-9908. \nWe have plenty of outdoor seating\, some of which is covered;  picnic tables and bistro tables\, and our expansive lawn in front of the winery building (bring chairs or a blanket for this area).  \nShould the weather be rainy\, take advantage of those covered areas\, and we do have some indoor seating in our Tasting Room.  After 3pm\, we will have more indoor seating in our Barrel Room. You may want to make a reservation for these covered/indoor areas  (note that time limits apply) – again\, give us a call at 336-644-9908. \n  \n  \nWine: Wine by the glass & wine by the bottle will be available for purchase in our Tasting Room. $14.50 (Reg.) or $17.50 (Reserve) Wine Tasting Flights are available for groups of 4 or less and our last tastings start at 5pm.   If you have a group larger than 6\, please call ahead to make sure we can accommodate you! \nNormal tasting fees apply. \n \n  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Want to Make Wine?\nStonefield Cellars hosts two Winemaking Courses per year (in the spring\, and in the fall) taught by Robert E. M. Wurz\, Ph.D. \nIn six classes over 8 weeks\, this course covers the full winemaking process: from fermentation to bottling. Learn techniques to start or improve your own home winemaking while creating your own wine during class in small teams of 2-4 & hone your wine evaluation skills with classes on sensory evaluation training and food and wine pairing. \n  \nFall 2023 Course Dates & Times: \nMondays 7:00-9:00 pm in the Stonefield Cellars Production Room. \n\nOct. 13: Introduction – Basics of fermentation and winemaking.\nNov. 3: Principles of Winemaking – Racking\, barrels\, oak alternatives\, tannins. Wines of the world.\nNov 10th: Wine sensory evaluation. Food and wine pairing.\nNov 17th: Defects and Problems: Causes and remedies\, fining agents\, additives\, filtering.\nDec. 1st: Blending\, tasting panel\, and bottling preparations.\nDec. 8th: Bottling\, Labeling\, Wrap-up\, Exam.\n\nCost: $195\nProvided: All winemaking materials\, detailed winemaking notes\, snacks\, and 3 bottles of wine bottled by the class. \nMust be at least 21 years old to participate.\nClass size limited to 16 people.\nAdditional Class Wine will be available for $14.95 per Bottle. \nRegistration:  Register and Pay for the course online or call the winery at 336-644-9908 during regular business hours.  You can also Email Molly at  melston@stonefieldcellars.com with any additional questions.
