SUMMARY:Fiddle Tunes Friendzy -  Learn and Play Fiddle Tunes
DESCRIPTION:Tunes\, Tunes\, Tunes … FIDDLE tunes specifically!   This is not a singing jam\, but an opportunity to learn (or teach) fiddle tunes from all genres of traditional music.  All ages\, all levels\, and various instruments are welcomed (especially fiddles\, of course)\, but this session is intended to focus on the tunes themselves.    Please RSVP if you plan to attend (see RSVP form below) \nFiddle Tune Friendzy is an all ages event.  Learn and play fiddle tunes from many traditions (Bluegrass\, Oldtime\, Irish\, Scottish\, Blues\, Cajun\, Ragtime\, Contra Dance). \nBring:  Violins\, Mandolins\, Guitars\, Banjos\, Tin Whistles\, Accordions\, Etc. \nThis Event is FREE.  Come to listen or to join in the music circle playing Fiddle Tunes \nSponsors include: Stonefield Cellars Winery\, High Lonesome Strings\, Vance Archer III\, The Thursday Music Circle \nVance Archer III Bio \n\n \nVance D. Archer III has been a musician for over 70 years with a career that spans from classical cello in the family string quartet to 40 years of leading Folk Music\, Irish Celli and Contra Dance bands in the greater New York City/New Jersey region. He plays violin\, viola\, cello\, guitar\, mandolin\, autoharp and bouzouki in a variety of musical styles. \nSince moving to Greensboro in 2005\, Vance has become active in the Triad Music and Art Scene. In addition to leading the Fiddle Tunes Friendzy\, Vance hosts the Triad Music Circle in his home\, where they enjoy playing acoustic music from many traditions. The Music Circle consists of musicians with varied abilities and interests while serving primarily as emotional musical therapy for its members. The group also serves as an introduction to group playing for his students. Vance hosts an occasional “Traveling Hootenanny” where folks join for an evening of socialization and singing.\nVance performs solo concerts in various regional venues. For these performances he often plays Guitar\, Autoharp and Fiddle while leading the singing. Vance organizes solo and group musical entertainment for social gatherings and trade shows and can gather the proper mix of musicians to accommodate most musical venues. \n \nVance would rather practice outside than inside. DESCRIPTION:  \n \nRADIO REVOLVER – June 13th\, 2025 \nOnline tickets for this concert will be available until 3PM the day of the concert\, tickets sold at the gate thereafter. \nLet’s just say this band is one of the top rock cover bands in the Triad.  We love them and think you will too! \nUpdate from Radio Revolver: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n BIG NEWS\, REVOLVER FANS! \n\n\nWe are beyond thrilled to introduce the insanely talented **Sarah Strable** as the **new lead singer** for **Radio Revolver!**  From the moment we met Sarah\, we knew she was something special—and let’s just say\, she’s blown us away with her powerhouse vocals and electrifying energy! \n\n\nWe’ve attached her **BIO** and some killer **performance pics** so you can see exactly why we’re so pumped! Go check them out! \n\n\nBIO Sarah Strable:\n\n\nSarah Strable is a vocalist\, yoga instructor\, and healing arts practitioner in Greensboro\, NC. Sarah began classical vocal studies at age 12 and started singing professionally at age 16 with the party band Timepiece. After performing with Timepiece for 6 years and earning a BA in vocal performance at Greensboro College\, Sarah co-founded the music ensemble Certified Organic with Andy Eversole; the group performed a mix of folk\, bluegrass\, and Americana. Subsequently\, during 9 years as part of the band Black and Blue\, Sarah expanded her repertoire by singing pop\, Motown\, and R&B classics all over the East Coast. Sarah joined American Cruise Lines as a resident entertainer in 2023\, sharing the gift of music on America’s rivers and oceans.\n\n\nIn addition to delivering stunning versions of the National Anthem for high profile events like the 2020 U.S. Figure Skating Championships\, Sarah has been a prolific studio recording artist for many North Carolina-based song-writers and groups\, including The Catalinas\, Andy Eversole\, Viva La Muerte\, Banjo Earth Band\, The Deluge\, and Dan Shull. In 2008\, Sarah’s lead vocal on the song “My Sweet Talkin’ Daddy” helped the song climb to number 8 on the beach music charts. Her vocals can also be heard on several film soundtracks\, including the 2018 IMAX film\, In Saturn’s Rings.\n\n\nCurrently\, Sarah enjoys contributing to new recording projects and appearing with a wide variety of groups.
