Songwriter Sunday – Local Songwriters Perform in our Barrel Room

June 25 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Host Kris Ferris

Songwriter Sunday – $5.00 Cover charge (tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance –  we recommend in advance because our Barrel Room Seating is limited.. see below for online ticket option, or call 336-644-9908).

Come enjoy some wine & live music by the best of our local songwriting talent! Kris Ferris hosts this performance melange, with each singer/songwriter performing his or her songs in the round. They will also take you behind the scenes and learn what inspires their compositions, the stories behind the songs and the process of song writing through each songwriter’s eyes and experience. It is an interactive event and audience participation is encouraged (but please be respectful and don’t converse with your neighbor while the artists are speaking or singing).

Also note:  If this is your first time visiting and you would like to do a tasting before the event, we suggest you come at least 30-45 minutes before to allow for a relaxed tasting experience.  Tastings are conducted in our Tasting Room.  You will be served there and when the door opens for the Songwriter Performance, you will then be seated in the Barrel Room.  Tasting Fees are $7/$10 for regular or reserve wine options, respectively.

Brad Reaves

Brad Reaves  – Add expressive words to vibrating air and a song emerges. Inspired by the 1960s British invasion Brad Reaves’ list resonates with the maturity of diverse experience. Carrie Pazdziora

Carrie Pazdziora

Carrie Paz’s Carolina roots show up in her music–her clear alto is captivating, her picking weaves images of cypress trees and beach skies, and a touch of the blues gives her music a sly edge. Carrie lives in Greensboro, and performs regularly across the Triad and beyond. Find out where she’ll be next at carriepaz.com.

Jack Gorham is a junkman/songwriter-it says so on his business card.  When he’s not rummaging through someone’s attic he can be found playing keys in bands such as Shaken and Stirred, Stained Glass Canoe and the El Dorados.  Gorham’s songs shed light on ideas about time, place, love and the human condition.  They are loaded with imagery and metaphor and delivered by engaging melodies and thoughtful piano accompaniment.

Sarah Sophia

Sarah Sophia is a 21 year old Folk/Americana Singer-Songwriter. She grew up in Hopewell, a small town in central New Jersey, and is now based out of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Sarah’s musical influences range through many different genres giving her original music a whole new sound and feel of its own. Some of her main influences include Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac, Grace Potter, Kacey Musgraves and Jason Isbell.   Sarah is a solo acoustic performer. She preforms at many local, North Carolina venues ranging from cafes to small bars. Sarah has also booked many Singer-Songwriter rounds in Nashville, Tennessee.  Sarah recently released her first EP that she worked on with local Winston- Salem producer John Pfiffner.
