Girls Day Out – Sunday Afternoon Yoga (Wine sold separately)

Get your tickets now!  Space is limited.   Only $20 for this session!     Treat yourself to a Girls Day Out at Stonefield Cellars Winery.  Please join us for an all-level, 1 hour and 15 minute yoga class with Carra Miskovich. This heart-centered practice will be accessible to all bodies, so if you’ve ever thought you were not flexible enough to do yoga—this is the class for you. Please wear comfortable clothing, bring your yoga mat, and a smile! Our focus will be on YOGA first, then wine and food afterwards*.

Carra Miskovich

Carra Miskovich, MA, RYT-500, QP is a registered yoga teacher (RYT-500) with Yoga Alliance (YA) and holds a Master’s degree in the social sciences. Her background in counseling and passion for helping others led her to the field of education for the last 18 years. Carra’s journey with yoga began in college. Over the years, one thing became crystal clear, the more she practiced, the better she felt—both on and off the mat. Amazed by yoga’s restorative capabilities, and ability to heal her body from chronic pain, she was led to share the gift of yoga with others.

A heart-based teacher, Carra cultivates a safe and inclusive environment, making yoga accessible to everyone. She believes the mind-body practice of yoga is the key to unlocking peace, stability, and overall wellness in our lives. She is currently an adjunct professor and teaches various styles of yoga in the Piedmont Triad area. She specializes in yoga for healthy aging, emotional regulation/mental health, chronic pain, and PTSD, as well as meditation, restorative yoga, pranayama, and yoga nidra. Her philosophy is simple, if you can breathe—you can do yoga!

Treat yourself to a Girls Day Out at Stonefield Cellars Winery.  Please join us for an all-level, 1 hour and 15 minute yoga class with Carra Miskovich in our air-conditioned Barrel Room.   Check in at 12:30pm*.  This heart-centered practice will be accessible to all bodies, so if you’ve ever thought you were not flexible enough to do yoga—this is the class for you. Please wear comfortable clothing, bring your yoga mat, and a smile! Our focus will be on YOGA first, then wine and food afterwards.

 Ticket Price covers YOGA Instruction only. Wine (and other beverages) and Smoke City Food Truck (delicious, healthy Hibachi) are sold separately.  Space is limited, so buy your tickets soon!

* NOTE:  We are starting early (1/2 hr earlier than when we normally open on a Sunday) to accommodate Carra’s schedule on this date.  Future Yoga dates will go back to a 1:00pm start time.

 

We need a minimum of 8 attendees for this class to happen – please invite others (tickets need to be purchased in advance)!

Heart to Hands Healing Touch by Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, Sara C. McCollum, CHTP, Homestead Market, and Stonefield Cellars Winery join to bvring you Wine and Wellness Sunday!

 

Heart to Hands Healing Touch – 2-4 pm

Discover the art and science of Healing Touch.  Sara will present a short talk on the history and basic information of Healing Touch for pain management, stress reduction, and enhancing the body’s natural ability to heal (see an example of the scope below).

The talk will be followed by an opportunity for guests to experience healing touch for themselves.  Guests can sign up the day of the event and order of service will be based on each guest’s schedule and specific needs.   

Sara will utilize a massage chair or a table (your choice).

PLEASE RSVP – Healing Touch will be held in the Barrel Room and space is limited – your RSVP helps us plan for seating setup!

What Is Healing Touch?

Healing Touch is a gentle biofield therapy which can promote the healing process, and is recognized by the National Institute of Health. Healing Touch is often helpful in reducing pain, diminishing nausea and decreasing anxiety, apprehension and restlessness. Most people who receive Healing Touch report it has a calming effect, and that it creates a greater sense of well-being.

How Does Healing Touch Work?

Practitioners use their hands to clear and balance a person’s energy field. Many people report it provides an inner sense of calm, peace, and serenity. Current evidence also supports that it improves healing. Healing Touch is offered in hospitals, hospices, doctors’ offices, long term care facilities, as well as home healthcare throughout the United States and the world. What Are the Benefits of Healing Touch? Healing Touch has helped people on many levels. For instance, they report:
• Decreased pain
• Less fatigue
• Faster recovery
• Less anxiety
• Lower stress
•  Improved sleep pattern
• Increased sense of calm
• Deeper spiritual connection
• Improved wound healing

Sara C. McCollum, CHTP Biography:

Sara Combs-McCollum, AAS, RDH, CHTP is a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, Reidsville, NC.  She graduated from Guilford Technical Community College and received licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 1993.  Although always intrigued by concepts that underlie energetic healing, she had no framework within which to articulate her interest.  It took seeing an energy worker in a NICU working on premature neonates in 2010 to truly cause the spark to set fire.  After going on to complete a two-year minimum, five-level standardized curriculum program with Healing Touch of the Carolinas under the tutelage of Deborah Larrimore, RN, LMBT, CHTP/I,  Sara received her Healing Touch Practitioner Certification in March, 2015.  She is affiliated with Healing Touch International/Healing Beyond Borders, was on staff at Wake Forest Baptist Integrative Medicine Clinic, and operates as an independent Healing Touch practitioner bringing the benefits of Healing Touch to patients, friends, relatives, and anyone else she can quite literally get her hands on.
