High Lonesome Strings Monthly Meeting (FREE Bluegrass Concert and Jam)

Band: GoodFellers will perform between 2:30 and 3:30 pm, followed by a bluegrass jam with local musicians. This is event is FREE to the public!

The Band “GoodFellers” is from Pinnacle, North Carolina.

Formed in 2011 by Ralph McGee (mandolin), Teddy Barncastle (guitar), Hersie McMillan (banjo), and Tim Hill (bass).

Their name is a take-off on the 1990 gangster movie classic “Goodfellas.”

Expect the unexpected when it comes to the GoodFellers. Their sound is shaped by a variety of musical backgrounds and highlighted by rock flavored vocals, and they move seamlessly through different styles, making each GoodFellers show unique and entertaining.

Our 2021 Friday Flavors Summer Concert Series

Stonefield Cellars Winery in Stokesdale presents the best in local and regional bands and food during a summer concert series “Friday Flavors”. In 2020 we modified procedures and policies due to COVID19 restrictions, but we were able to still hold most originally scheduled concerts, and even extended our season into the fall. We are committed to continue to bring you the best live music in the Triad at one of the best venues – Stonefield Cellars Winery – and hope that you will join us for the great lineup we have in store for 2021!

COVID19 safety measures will likely still be in place over the summer (masking and safe distancing, etc.) and so we hope that you will feel safe and comfortable attending. Check out our schedule below! Tickets go on sale early May, 2021.

Soup & Sing – Potluck Dinner and Jam Session

Location: Stonefield Cellars Winery

Reservations for Soup and Sing are Required – Please call 336-644-9908. Soup & Sing is a combination pot-luck dinner, jam session, and folk gathering for local musicians/singers and music lovers that harkens back to a time when there were no radios or TVs and music was what we made together, face to face, an essential part of our soul as necessary as the food that nourished our bodies. Many different genres of music may be represented during the evening (bluegrass, celtic, blues, folk, rock, gospel, etc.), but usually it is acoustic (we do mike vocals though, so singers can be heard). If you are not a musician but are a friend or family member of a musician or are a Friend of Stonefield Cellars that loves wine and music, you are welcome to come. We appreciate your support of local music and local wine! (Wine sales provide the financial support to make this event possible.)

Large Parties/Groups Policy: Due to our policy to preserve the intimacy of the gathering and the need to stay within our capacity limit, Soup & Sing is not an event for large private parties or groups (more than 8 people in a single party/group). We do however rent our barrel room for private parties and we can provide you with contact info re: bands for hire. We also hold barrel room concerts and outdoor music events at the winery during which we can provide concert/festival seating for large groups.
